Why are girls always on their phones?

There is a girl who has been looking my direction, and I was thinking about saying hello. But it seems like every time she is on her phone. Is that just a polite way of her saying she isn't interested or don't approach her? Is she maybe shy?

im usually on my phone when I'm bored (play games) or actually have stuff to do on my phone. otherwise I just listen to music on it. maybe that's what's going on? and if she kept looking at you I doubt she's on her phone to show you she's not interested. you should just go up and say hello its the only real way to know :)

It depends.Maybe she is ACTUALLY busy on her phone.BUT...if she continues to make eye contact with you,then she likely wants you to go over and talk to her.Maybe she is shy,maybe she isnt.Maybe she is just waiting for you to make the first move.

No, it just means she's bored and doesn't know what to do. I'm always on my phone at work...sadly.

I tend to do that when I get nervous. Just say hey stop texting and smile and see what she says if she smiles back then its a good sign.
