What is it with these clingy girls that eant to text you all day long?

I'll tell them I'm at work and they still procede to check in with me to see how I'm doing what am I doing. They freak out if you don't respond back fast enough. I've never had this issue in the past but in the last year or so that's almost all I meet. Either clingy or a narcissist. I don't get how these women don't have anything else to do with their time.

Lol I don't know what you by “fast enough” like a few mins or one hour? Everyone has different type of style in communication and/or some may just don’t know when to respect your some of your space, or maybe you need to make a little more time for them. Depends on the circumstances.

I suppose I need to be a little more direct when I say I'm at work and just say I'll text when I can. It just irritates me that they'll send like 50 messages a day.

Lol 5 mins is excessive… are you dating like really young women? If so, it will makes a lot of sense. You probably need to go for more mature women. But yes, communication is key as the saying goes. It will help if you tell them you’ll message them when you can because you’re at work or busy doing other things. So they will be mindful and understanding while you get back to them in a good timely manner. If you were communicative and got back to them in a good time frame, but they don’t understand and is upset.. she’s probably just not mature enough. Red flag.

Some were young, some are about the same age as me. Honestly maybe this is being paranoid on my end, but I really don't like telling random people I don't know that I'm not at home. Then it's also a red flag when they seem to want to know what I'm doing every hour of the day. It's like what are they doing, robbing the house while I'm not there?

Oh no lol. I think that’s just paranoia unless there are some red flags of safety concerns by the way they talked to you or when you met them. If it’s a fear, you can install security cameras to be safe. I think you’re not used to their style of enjoying to know about your day, they may have higher needs, unhealthy clingyness, or they don’t have anything to do? Lol. But I’m surprised by women around your age because shouldn’t they be busy working? 😅😂 I definitely can not text someone I’m interested every hour unless I am having super down days at work and that’s not common haha.

I don't know. Her asking me to drive 45 minutes and take her to her friends house after she was supposed to come to my house just caused me to blow a gasket lol

Stop doing it. See your life as the filter they need to pass. If they can't wait until you get off work, they can't fit in your life. So why waste time on them.

I dated a girl that we talked on the phone maybe twice a week and texted every few days. That sure was nice.
