Guys: If your girls cooks for you..

what goes through your head? In general a how much do guys like it when their girlfriend cooks for them?

And what is your favorite meal that she makes? or you wish she would make?

My boyfriend loves when I cook for him. He works full time as a cook in a restaurant, so I do most of the cooking at home because I understand how hard he works and he probably doesn't want to come home and cook after doing it all night at work. He likes pretty much everything I make, and only offers minor critiques, like if something is too spicy for him or something, so I can adjust the heat in the future, but he still ALWAYS finishes his whole plate. If he doesn't go back for seconds, that's usually how I know it's not his favorite. Otherwise, he rants and raves about how good the food is, and tells me he appreciates the time and effort I put into meals, especially since I work my own full time job during the day. He says I'm the best in the kitchen out of anyone he's been with in the past.

His favorite is a sweet/spicy teriyaki chicken with rice dish I like to make. He says it has one of the best sauces he's ever tasted. Usually I surprise him, but other times he'll put in requests, like he really digs any soups/pastas I make, and breakfast food. If he's hungry and it's not 'time for a meal' he'll ask for a sandwich, or a while back asked me to cook up the last of some elk steaks we had for him. He also likes when I bake any kind of sweet goodies because I bake much less often than I cook.

Gotta be his girlfriend first, though. Cooking is a great "Bonus" trait, but it's not what gets guys interested or keeps them interested.

Actually it greatly increases our interest. That doesn't mean you're definitely going to end up being his girlfriend, but chances of that happening increase.

I really appreciate the effort when a girl does this for me. Though it's weird. I usually end up being the cook in the relationship, so yeah, when I do have a girl who cooks for me, I really like it. Especially if she bakes. (oh and obviously this is much better if she is good at what she makes) I love it best when my girlfriend makes jammy dodgers ( link link link )and shortbread stuff ( link link ).

I love when someone makes me pirogi in a cream sauce and bacon. But my favorite dish is one I cook myself. What do I wish she could make? I suppose Egg Fu Yung ( link ) or maybe Unadon (BBQ Eel) on rice ( link ). Finally tackling your first question last, I think "she's awesome." or like sixstring put it "she's a keeper", because really, she is. Especially if she can bake. (Mainly because I can't)

It doesn't have to be complicated or take a lot of effort or time. As long as it's simple and tastes great then it's pretty fine with me. I like simple things! Haha

"She's a keeper" is what goes through my head. I love it when she provides me with food, doesn't matter how little effort it took her to make.

My favorite thing would be whatever tasty she makes best. But in general I love in-between snacks like cookies and brownies.

so nice for so many reasons. I love food, she is clearly thinking about me, its a very personal gift, and although things are obviously changing, I would still consider it a kinda feminine thing to do - very attractive. my favorite meal depends on her cooking skills. even if she's a bad cook I still love it, but there are just somethings she can't make. something with meat in it for sure though haha

I mean if things are gonna get serious, she's gonna have to know to cook anyways. It's kinda nerve wracking though, the first meal...wondering whether it'll be disgusting or awesome.
