My girlfriend is extremely superficial, should I do something about it?

I love my girlfriend but I'm starting to doubt our relationship because sometimes she can be so superficial and shallow, she can be so nasty to not so attractive people. One time I told her she didn't needed to be so rude to people she didn't find attractive I even told her " sometimes I ask myself if you didn't find me attractive would we still be dating", her answer was "Of course not it's not like I'm dating you because of your personality".

She told me she was joking but I'm falling less and less for her, she's really attractive and I still love her but her personality it's making her more ugly everyday. What should I do?

I´m sorry but it sounds like you also like her just because she´s attractive. This is a classic example of how a relationship based only on looks is not meant to last. She also sounds shallow and evil and you sound like you could do better. You should find a girl who is pretty if that´s what you want, but who also has a nice personality. it´s going to be more fulfilling and you will be happier. besides, in my experience, when you start complaining about the other person´s faults, it´s because, basically, love has dissapeared.

Dang she said she isn't dating you because of your personality. She isn't a very nice person. Why anyone would want to be with someone like that is beyond me. There is nothing you can do to make a person not superficial. That would be something she would have to do for herself. But one thing I do know is a superficial person usually stays that way so maybe you should find yourself a girl with substance because it doesn't sound like it will work out too much longer.

honestly..do you like her enough to want to spend time with her? it doesn't really sound like it. I mean for huge issues for relationships (which are based on personality, whereas sex is based on looks), you might want to reconsider. just being honest.

Keep the girl have fun with her (wink wink) and when you find somebody who doesn't have such a rotten personality and you find attractive too, dump her ass!

If I were in your situation, I probably wouldn't stick around. I hear enough people criticize other people's appearances on a daily basis, I don't need to hear it from the person who's supposed to be my partner, too.

I have to agree with anon. It sounds to me like YOU'RE the one staying for attraction. Her personality clearly sucks.
