My boyfriend lied to me about going to work.

My boyfriend told me he got called in to work, so he was going to go to the gym and then go to work. However, I was doing grocery shopping near his gym and I saw him going into the movie theater at the time he said he would be going to work. I didn't confront him about it yet because I have been so angry that I know it will lead to an argument. He is definitely the type of person who needs a lot of time by himself, and I have told him that I am understanding of that as long as he tells me the truth (we live together by the way).

When I was younger I had a delivery job without a boss breathing down my neck, and I really abused it. If I could get away with it, I'd go to the mall, see a movie, etc. - all on the clock. It wasn't planned, I didn't know which days or at what times I'd do it.

It didn't mean I was cheating on my girlfriend o.O

The stalky/controlling vibe is strong here, as I've aged I've gotten much better at spotting my turnoffs early.

I don't think he's cheating on me. I never said anything about that...He just enjoys going to movies by himself. It's a "thing" of his. And he's a grill chef at a restaurant so no, he doesn't get to go to movies while he's on the clock.

i can understand you being upset about him saying he's going to work and then spotting him going into the movie theater. I would be upfront and honest with him that you seen him. why not? I'd rather confront my suspicion about someone else's behavior so I know where I stand and where they stand. especially because you live together. good luck and take care.
