What kind of person doesn't say thank you to birthday wishes?

An a**hole? Someone who simply doesn't care?

I'd like to know. This one guy I am acquainted with never bother to say thank you or to "like" the birthday wishes he gets. It's not the first time he does.

I find it extremely rude and rather unexpected from him (but he's been doing this for many years now). He's rather friendly in person and has many friends. He's the only person I know to do this, most people I know say thank you or send a message to all ..

So what does this say about someone?

its Facebook, I get like 60 of those wall posts but I am sure no one of the people would remember my birthday if it werent for fb, and I am too lazy to scroll and like and comment, blah

so this year I removed my birthday

and here's something a lot of people don't get

I don't say thanks to all the wishes I get on Facebook. And if they get upset over it then they have waaaay too much time on their hands and no life. I have better things to do on my birthday than sit on Facebook and like/comment on every birthday post...

mostly about Facebook yes. Is that bad? I don't get offended honestly I don't even wish this guy birthday anyway. .. But well when people greet mine I make sure to say thank you to all of them. And honestly most people I know do so or those who don't want to waste time put a status with "thank you for your messages". It's common courtesy. I mean it's not because it's Facebook that it doesn't mean anything. The attention is still there.

All I'm saying is most people have better things to do than check Facebook. I'm out having fun. I throw 5-7 day parties for my birthday. There is no Facebook checking for the entire week of my birthday lol

I didn't mean necessarily the day of their birth day but most do get back to people. Even if it is some days later. I personally find it a bit rude when people don't. People go out of their way to wish you a happy birthday and with all the technology there is nowadays with Facebook being on mobile phones and such.. I don't know why someone would ignore people's attention.

Haha the only way I have to be on FB is my laptop. But I suppose I see your point. But if I don't catch their posts the day of, I don't respond. I think it's awkward to thank them like a week later. But maybe I'm just one of those rude people you're talking about.
