Why does she always smile and wave to me?

There is this girl I really like, and even though we don't know each other all that well, she always smiles and waves excitedly whenever she sees me. She always seems to want to get my attention by saying hi whenever we run into each other, even though she never initiates conversation. And here's another issue: She is a year older than me, and she is incredibly good-looking, so she could very well be out of my league as it is. So what do you guys think? Is she into me, or is she just being friendly?

It appears she wants to be friendly and she's just a naturally cheerful person but she seems to enjoy and crave your company so she could possibly like you as more than a friend so why not invite her out on a date?
