Dreaming about someone liking you.

So I had this dream. A guy from my class liked me and I liked him we smuggled and ended up a couple. What if any does it mean something or was it just a dream ?

I kinda dislike those dreams because it sad when you wake up and realize you are not really a couple, it makes me feel like crap lol. Recently I've been having dreams about this classmate who I won't be seeing for a couple of weeks. We are always giving each other a hard time and teasing each other and my dream consisted on us two being in a classroom with NO other people and just doing what we do and having playful arguments and her calling me pretentious and going on and on with NO interruptions. We didn't end up a couple but it was great because in the dream we were doing what we usually do and when I woke up, it made me feel great and not miss her as much and makes me wonder if she ever has a dream like that (because we do this A LOT, everyday)

It's difficult to say. In my opinion, there are three likely scenarios:

1. You do like this particular guy and your id was expressing a fantasy of yours that you have most likely repressed.

2. This particular guy is a symbolic representation of you pulling yourself out of a shell of insecurity and self-loathing.

3. This particular guy represents a longing for closeness you have not gotten from others (i.e. family members such as your father, sibling or cousin).
