Is drunk texting a total turn off?

How would you feel if a person of the opposite sex drunk texts you? Not a dirty text though. Will it change your view on the person? Would you still want to be around that person?

It's a turn off and makes me want to stay away from the person

It depends. If I'm tipsy, my texts are usually a little more on the funny side, so the guy thinks I'm being cute. There was only one time that I actually texted a fellow to let him know that I was cutting him off -- liquid courage needed to end a very uneven relationship. It took some doing from him to help patch things up, but I'm pretty happy that we had that little falling out.

As a rule, try not to "drunk text" -- stop after your second drink for sure. I've had people drunk text me or drunk "like" me on Facebook, etc. It looks very odd and while YOU can't remember things the next day, other people sure can...

I'm guilty of doing it. I sometimes need to have my friends take my phone away. :/ I've been inappropriate a time or two, but usually just random.

it wouldn't make a huge difference to me if a girl sent one , it would annoy me though if a guy was sending me drunk texts , I've had that happen before that was really annoying

It depends what it says really. If it's some "ohausdhasiodmweuabwibawnd" kind of deal I'd laugh, if it's flirting I'd be flattered, if it's just random stuff I'd probably be neutral. If it's annoying I'd look forward to keeping distance.

I think it's OK. They are just saying exactly what they think and never say when sober.

I wouldn't care if it happened once in a while but if it was every time then it would get annoying.
