Is there a certain guy you ever like, but he was on the shy side, to where he kind of played a little hard to get, but you didn't let that stop you. So you tried more than once until he finally came out of his shell and flat out and said he liked you too?

Yes, if I really like a guy eventually I'll tell him how I feel, I've done it plenty of times.

If he's really standoffish or ignores my attempts to try and get him to open up then that'll just make me really angry. It takes just as much courage for a girl to approach a guy as it does for you to approach her. "Playing hard to get won't help you" It'll just push her away.

A guy actually did this to me recently, he's shy so I thought I'd be nice and make the first move

Totally backfired and he started playing hard to get, mind games and what not

So now thanks to him for the past month I've been out almost every weekend with at least 2-3 guys per weekend who take me out,we dance,we drink & best of all they don't play hard to get

So assuming you've already shunned her once or twice, I think it's best that you cut the mind games and go make amends with that girl before it's too late

I don't know many girls who have the patience to chase after a guy.

What I really ment is if a guy played hard to get like you going after him only a second time, then he open up to you compared to him not opening up the first time.

If you see her often & interact often then act normally, drop subtle hints, maybe even flirt a little and she'll most likely try something again.

If you don't see her often and her approaching you was just randomly out of the blue

Yes, I have heard of guys chasing after girls. Close friends of mine have done it before and are now in very successful relationships.

I know this is a complete double standard but girls just don't do that type of thing -"chasing after guys". To most people it should be the guy who does the approaching. A girl who makes the first move is doing above and beyond society expectations.

Most women are just raised to believe that it should be the guy doing the chasing and if he doesn't have the balls then he's a coward and he isn't worthy at least that's what my grandfathers told me just in different words.

It's a silly belief but it's still very strong in today's society if it weren't you wouldn't have so many girls today questioning if it's acceptable to approach a guy.

Yes, but only in this specific scenario other than that the male is always superior.

When a guy chases after a girl it's considered human nature and he's just using his natural hunting instances.

When a girl chases a guy she gets slapped in the face by "the male ego". He gets cocky and she gets labeled as desperate

Well back in H.S. it would just be like "oh you like me, I like you. Okay We're Boyfriend & Gf" Now we hold hands, hang out after school, walk each other to class all that cute stuff

Now that I'm in college it's more like "you like me, I like you" lets exchange numbers, arrange a few dates, hangout

Being that everyone is so busy in college a lot of the dating time will be spent with the crushes' friends in group settings.

Going to bars together, being that persons date to social events.

some people date for months before they decide to make it official others go on one date & make it official

just depends on how well the two people know each other

& it's usually the girl who pressures the guy to make it official so they essentially take care of all the " are we an official couple yet stuff"

I met all of my ex's through school friends & class.

& No I met once people start dating one of them" usually the girl "is going to put pressure to make it official like.

Yes ,they became really good friends with me first then confessed how much they've liked me via in person, via text, phone call, Facebook.

Or they just become good friends with me then start flirting and calling me babe , making jokes about us being together

Sorry man. I was a bit awkward. Actually they ended up becoming friends first then asking me out. Mot who showed interest but weren't close I was quite standoffish with and they didn't ask me out.
