Do shy guys realize they confuse girls?

I personally find shy guys confusing. They don't tend to approach and show interest like confident guys do.

They ignore me and stare and look away but if I talk to them they seem like they would like to talk..

I just feel like shy guy give mixed signals! Do shy guys know they confuse most girls?

Maybe other girls don't find shy guys confusing but I know I do!

confusing would b if they act like thy like you bit when you talk to them thy are cold.

youre not confused by the guy. you're confused because you're assuming you're not supposed to (I e its a bad thing and or its unnecessary, for you to do so. ) go out of your way to get to know people you're interested in, if your want something, go make an effort. its very simple.

there are billions of people. many are shy. many are guys. they have a right to be shy, as much as anyone else... if you like them, you'll just have to get off your butt and do the initiating ;p

I do approach guys I like, me not being proactive isn't the issue. I just don't know if they are trying to avoid me or something when they stare and look away. And avoiding eye contact in a conversation is confusing too. I can't tell if they're just being nice and talking to me politely but really don't want to.. I'm not attacking them, they just confuse me!

It's so confusing! Even if you approach them, half the time they just act so nonchalant about it...

Yes at least you get it! They talk a lot of the time but they are pretty calm so you can't tel if they are happy to talk to you.. So confusing.

I was a shy guy for a very long time...mostly because I didn't know how to approach girls or get things rolling...but I was good at taking things from there...dunno why, but once the ice was broken I was good to go...most shy guys just don't know what to say, or have the confidence to say it if they did...like one of the guys said, a lot of times we feel like if we make our intentions known it will be taken offensively or whatever, same goes for checking a girl out...so we will try to beat around the bush...if you like a guy that seems shy just try to initiate things...he might open up once things start moving and he get's more comfortable

And when they are staring at you then they are giving you their massive signal of interest. Sadly you don't seem to be the only one that seems to be confused when us shy guys stare - but we are giving you a big, fat green light to come and approach us, and when you do then we absolutely love it and we like to talk.

I've been hugely surprised here on GAG because most girls don't seem to realize that when us uber shy guys stare at you then we are incredibly attracted to you; so some shy guys (at least me) don't know that we are confusing girls

Well, I've sometime seen questions here that are basically asking why a guy is staring and not approaching. They can't for the life of them figure out why, even though they themselves probably do the same thing with guys they like

Former shy guy here, they don't realize. They don't know how to handle situations. They think that showing a girl that they want her will put her off. They wish they knew how to handle it better but they usually never had any guidance talking to girls.

how is it confusing that a shy guy wants the girl to do the approaching and doesn't want to experience or risk rejection perhaps again,... oh I know girls think everything is the guys job because girls are brainwashed (maybe from the media) to only expect the guy to make the moves

You need to relax. I DO approach guys and initiate conversation. I don't have a problem doing that. But if it has been going on for a while and he never initiates anything when I have made myself approachable for several months I'm going to think he's not interested. I especially find shy guys confusing if they are only shy around me. I don't get why they would change their personality.

You really should not make assumptions about me not willing to approach anyone because you don't know me!

of course I don't know you, also to add: guys don't initiate things cause girls get offended by it, like when I had a girlfriend I wanted to touch and see a little something and explore her body, and since girls don't like physical attraction like guys do girls end up calling the relationship off, girls are the ones who control sex, and who goes out with them, guys have no control

Yeah we do I lost a few gangas like that. I stare and smile at them and never talked to them and they would send me signals but because they are female they expect me to approach them and nothing ever happened.
