Why doesn't he look away?

Guys, why doesn't he look away when I catch him staring at me? Even if I look back?

The guy I like does this - am confused. And it's not spacing out as far as I know. He just keeps looking until (usually I) break the stare.

What is he doing/thinking, in your opinion?

I think he just like playing around with you as friend. Nothing more (unless of course you two start talking then it changes the game because it shows that its a conversation starter)

Me and this girl would do the same thing and we would do it as our own little friendly competition.

What he can be thinking, I wanna say that he's daydreaming about random things.

Hahaha competition - but no it's not as a friend I don't think, as far as I'm aware he likes me a loooooooooot (thank God - I like him too). Like shops with me for hours just to hang out level of liking lol.

I think maybe he forgets that there might be awkwardness and just keeps looking. It's...interesting. Sometimes he looks like he's mesmerized, other times like he's just content or something to look at my face. Idk.

There are lots of other indications. I'm about 99% sure, thank God. It's just that I always thought guys looked away if they liked you and you caught them staring.
