Why does he keep cancelling our dates?

So I've started seeing a guy not a long time ago.. I've really liked spending time with him. Lately he keeps cancelling our dates or say things like I'm sorry I forgot the date was today... I haven't seen him for 2 weeks. Also his personality changed a bit since before, I always feel like he's kidding me or lying to me.. I thought probably he's not truly interested.. so I thought I should ignore him but when I don't talk to him he always comes back to me and messages me what's up.. I've already asked him "are you still interested in me?" And he said yes so I don't know what to do anymore.. Why does he always cancel our dates is he just messing around with me? I can't take him seriously anymore and I'm so really tired of this because I get my hopes up for nothing, always think I'm finally going to see him again and it's hurting me a lot. Sometimes I can't sleep at night cause I'm too worried.

Think about it. Will this type of behavior be acceptable in any friendship environment? Never-mind just with a crush. I'm talking about in general. When you know someone who keeps cancelling things what does that usually mean? To me that indicates a lack of interest and someone who is not really invested in whatever you want to do. If I really like someone then I'd not cancel on a date unless there was a super valid reason like me being sick or a very important exam that night or next day. I would not be looking for reasons to not see this person. This guy seems to be looking for reasons and this is a bad sign. I think this guy doesn't know what he wants and he likely said "yes" when you asked him if he's still interested so as to keep his options open. I suggest you try one more time and if he again cancels then you delete his number and call it a day. Things won't magically change and it's best to get rid of a asshole the second you pick it up in his behavior otherwise you'll just end up more hurt.

Yes, he is playing with you. Don't waste your time. He is seeing other girls or busy with work/friends. It could be a lot of things, but right now you aren't on his priority list. Don't allow your heart to ache any longer over this. When I was younger and my guy friends used to do this to me, I automatically knew that they found other plans or someone else who they thought was way more exciting than me to hang out with. Just don't plan anymore dates and allow him to prove himself to you. Just be his friend, don't date HIM RIGHT NOW.

I don't think he deserves you it sounds as if he is playing with your heart. I would ignore him for a while or tell Jim you just want to be friends or don't want to be anything at all. You could also talk to him about it

Dating with a guy, i would keep the date time in mind if i like him. I forgot some date not because i really forgot, just because i feel the guy was not so important that let me give up other interesting thing. so, maybe you should find someone worthy of being loved by you.
