Do girls like having deep conversations with guys or even other girls?

Me and all my guy friends get together a lot and talk about some deep stuff like religion, science, philosophy, government, fate of the world all kinds of stuff. We also have all noticed that girls don't seem to talk about stuff like that. All the girls we know talk about relationships, activities, and stories about other people when we try and talk to girls about this stuff they don't really engage and just look like they're in the conversation. We are not nerdy either it's just that sometimes we have a real talk session about stuff or we geek out over science or new tech.

It all depends on the type of person and their own interests. Sure, others will counter saying that everyone likes having deep conversations, but to be honest, there are a good amount of girls who just don't like having those types of conversations and prefer to have short chats about anything. Personally, I do like having the types of 'deep' conversations as long as I have the time to do it.
I am not one for gossip or relationship talk as much because it just doesn't suit my tastes.

I like talking about deep stuff with not only my friends but guys as well. It's quite relieving when I get to talk to a guy who doesn't just A.) want to talk about sex and relationships or B.) wanna get into my panties.

So yeah, I love it when I get a chance to actually talk about some deep stuff instead of the regular. It's nice ;)

Of course! I know my girl friends and I do. Granted, we have conversations about girly shit, too, but sometimes it's great to have a deep conversation. I always like chatting up acquaintances and picking their brain…it's amazing what you can learn from people.

Totally. Even more than just empty talk about clothes or hairstyle or who's fucking who.

No politics for me though. I'd tune out as soon as you start talking about political parties, republican, etc etc etc.

Best talks are when you're having sleepovers, and you're already lying on your beds, the lights are out, and you talk about deep shit like that. And yes, I do that with guys too. Haven't had that in a long time though..

yes but only talk to people that i'm close to cause i don't have to worry that i may offend them. my older sister for instance i love talking to her just about anything like laws, real estate, accounting, stategies to motivate oneself, how to be truly happy and have meaningful life so that when we get old we don't regret anything... i also love to debate with her cause she really challenges me :)

Lol I talk about all sorts of things depending on who I'm with and how comfortable I feel with getting into deep conversations with them. I talk about things from what someone is wearing to trying to understand quantum physics (literally - I'm a science journalist). I think it might depend on the friend group and the fact that guys (in my experience) tend not to talk as much unless they have something to say of more substance, not talking just to bond (as many girls seem to do).

All the girls I know love deep conversations, especially with guys. Theories about the universe, God, the apocalypse, politics, etc. But I think girls normally tend to talk about the deeper subjects later in the night and definitely in person. Those aren't really conversations I'd want to have over the phone.

Personally I'm more of a tomboy and I'm laid back so I find it more comfortable if I talk to my guy friends when having deep conversations. I feel like my girl friends would judge me more so typically I talk to my guy friends.

It depends on her characteristics and traits. I personally, talk about anything. I'm willing to, and I want to. I like hearing other peoples opinions and thoughts on things like religion, science, "fate of the world" and etc. Some of my friends, are like that too. Some aren't. But yes, the majority of my friends that do like talking about those topics are male haha.

Yeah, its always great to be able to share that stuff with ppl, I tend to talk a lot about this stuff with some of my guy frnds and girl frnds and depending on the topic, I talk about it with one person or another.

Yes. With ate girls, we can go full phycatriclst or bawl on eachothers shoulders for an hour. We have heated debates and deep conversations all the time. It's not all sunshine and unicorns all the time here in girl world. With guy friends not as much
