To be honest, I never used that, and that died because they were using Meebo to host it.
The fun fact though is that I had a friend who made a chat in Javascript in minimal amount of time, so what should be rough is linking it to the account system, but that probably isn't that hard either if the chat has no memory.
@Prof_Don maybe. Although I had issues with Skype's push messages, they don't always get here on time.
