Its good to see the GAG community grow, although we’ve lost a few good ones. I’m @DizzyDesii and I’ll be your tour guide for the day.
You have the option to use the GirlsAskGuys Desktop site, Mobile App, or Mobile Browser. I use the mobile browser and feel it's the best of the 3 because it gives you the best of both worlds.
For starters, not every girl has to ask a guy a question lol, its interchangeable 👍 Matter of fact, you can ask the same sex if you want. But if you’re just here reviewing advice, then let's get you all signed up, here:
Okay, now that thats out the way, lets come up with a creative username and make a profile.
Add a pic if you want! But...
• Don’t catfish cause people will call you out
• Don’t post something too sexy unless you want a mob of stalkers looking to sext you
• Don’t post a headshot if you’re afraid someone you know will find you
Below, you can see my profile and where i labeled areas 1-5... I will now discuss these
#5 Username & Profile
On the screenshot Above, you can see my profile and that my username is DizzyDesii (the girl named Desi who was feeling Dizzy when she made her account). In the bubble next to my username, you can see a profile picture of my big coconut head. On your profile, you should see your own. You can also post a cover image at the top of your profile. Mine is of a guy comforting his girl before they go to sleep. It reminds me of my boyfriend and myself. Also, there is a headbar underneath that says summary. There you can post a few facts about yourself so fellow GAGers can get to know you better. And below that are the list of badges you can earn depending on how you do while on GirlsAskGuys. If you don't want the public seeing all of this, feel free to go to settings and set your profile private.
#4 Followers
On the screenshot Above, you can see how many people I am following (183) and how many people are following me (181). Now yesterday, I had more followers but I assume I have been unfollowed due to inviting people to my questions nonstop. Oh well, it happens lol.
#3 Age
On the screenshot Above, you can see my age is 23. Most people lie about their age on here. I honestly don’t know why, but whenever you feel ready to be honest with our community, contact the admins and they should correct your age for you.
#2 Most Helpful Opinion (MHO)
On the screenshot Above, you can see my MHO Percentage is 37%. You can earn this percentage everytime you are rewarded 1 of the 4 MHO’s selected (2 per gender) who gave the best answers on the post.
#1 Shows Xper Level
On the screenshot above, you can see my Xper Status:
• Xper Level 1- For new users or those with 149 or less Xper Points. You can ask up to 2 questions and 1 mytake every 24 hours. However, you can't privately message (PM) anyone.
• Xper Level 2- For those with 299 XP or less. You can ask 2 questions and 2 mytakes every 24 hours. And you can privately message other GAGers!! You can also post links/images.
• Xper Level 3- For those with 499 XP or less. You can ask 3 questions and 3 mytakes every 24 hours. And you can still PM other GAGers and post links and images.
• Xper Level 4- For those with 999 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3.
• Xper Level 5- For those with 2,499 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3/4.
• Xper Level 6- For those with 4,999 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3/4/5.
• Xper Level 7- For those with 7,499 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3/4/5/6. However, this level and up means you no longer have to see those forever interfering advertisements.
• Xper Level 8- For those with 9,999 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3/4/5/6/7.
• Xper Level 9- For those with 19,999 XP or less. Can do the same as Level 3/4/5/6/7/8.
• Xper Level Guru - For those with 49,999 XP or less. You can ask 4 questions and post 3 mytakes every 24 hours. (I’m currently in this category.)
• Xper Level Master- For those with 50,000 XP and up. You can ask 5 questions and post 3 mytakes every 24 hours.
• Influencers- You can become this at any xper level if the admins feel you’re qualified for the position. You can ask 5 questions and 5 mytakes every 24 hours.
• Editors- You can become this at any xper level as long as you have written enough of the greatest mytakes ever! (I am currently an editor and a Guru.)
Reach Those Levels By Earning XP
The chart above shows XP points I earned daily. Depending on the country you live in, These points can reward you with a free $10 TGI Restaurant gift card OR a $20 Amazon gift card OR a free site-based Tshirt. How might you earn Xper?
• SIGN UP: Earn 10 points just for signing up.
• LOGIN: Earn 5 points for every day you login.
• CUSTOMIZE YOUR PROFILE: Upload a pic AND Set your relationship status/occupation
• STAY A WHILE: Earn 25 points whenever your bday or GAG anniversary comes year round.
• FOLLOW UP: Earn 1 point everytime someone follows you.
• ASK A QUESTION: Earn 1 point when you ask a question. Earn 3 points when more than 5 GaGers “like” your question. Earn 1 point (up to 4pts) for every MHO you select per question. Earn 4 points if your question gets featured by Admin. Earn 1 point if you're the first person of your gender to answer someones question. Earn 7 points if someone selects you MHO.
• SHARE A MYTAKE: Earn 1 point for sharing a mytake. If it gets promoted by Admin, you’ll earn 25 more points. If it gets featured by Admin, you’ll earn 100 points on top of that. Earn 3 points if over 5 GAGers “like” your mytake. Earn 1 point if you're the first person of your gender to answer someones mytake. Earn 7 points if someone selects you MHO. Earn 5 points if you answer the mytake of the day.
• OTHER WAYS TO EARN: Earn 1 point when you share your opinion on a question/mytake. If you forget to select MHO within 7 days, you can still earn 3 points. If the owner of a mytake or opinion likes your opinion then you earn 1 point. If more than 5 GAGers like your opinion, then you earn 3 points. When you answer featured questions/polls, you can earn 2 points for each. Earn 250 points if you get Top 4 MHO of the week.
• BECOME MORE SOCIAL: Earn 3 points when you connect your GAG account to your Facebook or Google Plus account. If your question or mytake is shared on these social media more than 10 times, you earn 10 more points.
Now with every pro comes a con. Here are ways you can LOSE XPER POINTS:
• Removing your relationship status, occupation, or profile pic will cost you 5 points EACH.
• Not logging in for 7-100 days can cost you anywhere from 20-100 points EACH.
• Disconnecting from Facebook/Google will cost you up to 50 points EACH
• Inappropriate questions/mytakes/opinions will cost you anywhere from 2-7 points and if featured then you could lose around 150 points.
WHEN ASKING QUESTIONS:
Think before you act.
Save your question as a draft until you’re ready to ask. And when you’re ready to ask, preview your question before submitting. Ask yourself is the question appropriate and whether its worth posting to the public.
• Good questions would be something new/random/fun or something that makes advice worthwhile.
• Bad questions would consist of something like nudes or racist remarks that will certainly get removed once reported.
• Ugly questions are seen for those trying to start debates after asking something often political.
• Repetitive questions are your usual size/height/looks questions. If you know your question will be quite common, use the “magnifying glass icon” to search previous questions of similar topics and checkout the opinions already formed.
