There are two types of men I believe who get laid an incredible amount--far more than any man could ever hope or want to get laid. These are the alpha male and the wandering caveman.
I choose wandering caveman as the other choice because, to me, alpha male has always referred to something primitive and primal--whether it's a girl seeing her super sweet boyfriend get scared and not defend himself or her against a group of guys making her less attracted to him despite the fact that she feels its wrong to feel this way or its women being attracted to competitions of physical fitness among men. So then what are these two archetypes?
Alpha males are leaders of men. This is why its a misconception to think they are all big and muscular. Some are, sure, but a real alpha male is simply an massive force of dominance over other males. You see, then, that the alpha male concept is very much tied to living in community with others. The alpha male is simply just a little bit more confident, more of a leader, and more powerful than the rest of the men of the tribe and women like having the best. It is everything every man who is not the alpha male fears the alpha male is--the superior man.

The wandering caveman has nothing to do with community since he by definition jumps from tribe to tribe. Presumably he would go to a tribe impregnate the best women and then leave to do the same thing over again in the next village. Take a classic chic fantasy--beauty and the beast. Many girls understood the attraction to beast--he is the outsider male and yet he loves her, cares for her, and is so unique and powerful in his own swagger that it more than makes up for and even adds to the isolation from the larger community she's in. Many girls, in reality, can probably understand the attraction to Gaston with big blue eyes and muscles and imposing presence over other men. Consider, in the movie that all the girls of the town want Gaston only Belle wants Beast. Certainly, when you heard the story you felt it made sense. On some level Gaston's alphaness and Beasts wandering swagger were evenly matched.
Now, if i haven't lost you, I'll finish on this. Think carefully which one of these two you are--do you tend to rise to the top of the food chain when you join a new group (hell, lets say GaG!) or do you tend to stay more in the shadows, infiltrate the group through some popular girl who really likes you because you're "so different" only to eventually leave instead of ever fully joining her world? Once you realize which you can build on it.
