He said he'd text me let me know but I'm still waiting for a reply. I think he's forgotten, What should I do?

Okay so I text me guy friend the other day asking if he wanted to hang out and he said he wasn't sure what was happening with work etc but he'd let me know. I'm still waiting for him to reply, and I get the feeling he's forgotten all about 'letting me know'. what should I do? and how should I react the next time I see him? Should I tell him I'm hurt?

I can't tell you exactly what to do but maybe I can help you think about this differently. He's your friend right? If he forgot about getting back to you then he just forgot. It doesn't have to be a big deal unless you make it one. I'm sure you have plenty of other things you could be doing. If he remembers great! Second next time you see him why not just treat him like you normally would. You don't have to bring up the plans but if you want to sure go ahead but don't worry about it he's your friend and it's just a conversation no need to plan it out. Ask him out again next time you see him if he forgets and you still wanna do something with him. There's no need to tell him your hurt that's not gonna change much. It'll make him feel bad yes but do you want him hanging out with you because you made him feel bad about hurting you or because he likes hanging out with you. It sounds like your panicking take some deep breaths, put the phone down, and go do something fun for a while.

There could be a number of reasons why he hasn't called yet. He could be really busy, he may have forgotten...(though that is less likely the reason than any other) Or he just doesn't want you to think he's desperate. He understands that if you think he's being desperate, or creepy, it could be a deal breaker! It's kinda the paradox that society has created. Men that are only interested, but not "creepy", or "desperate" may send the wrong signals by showing interest. It's just the way things are. Perhaps if you call him, it will show that you're okay with him being interested in you.

We can only be hurt by people when we allow them to hurt us. He said he'd get a hold of you, the ball is in his court and it's up to him to follow through on that. If he doesn't get back a hold of you, he probably isn't really too concerned about if you're hurt or not, so I wouldn't give him any sort of indication that is the case. He's not worth it if that's how he treats you so you're better off without him. Or, maybe he's busy and he WILL still get a hold of you, either way it's on him.

Yeah. That's the easy choice. But it sounds like she likes him. However, ladies-you may not realize this (And some of you that do, you scare the hell out of me.) You have the advantage. ANY guy will date you. Getting a guy really is not that hard. Just do your hair and practice your fake laugh and you're home free. All the pressure is on the gentlemen. He has to make sure that his finances are in order, so that he can get you to like him. On top of that, he almost has to be as pretty as you are to some extent. Or at least display a conscious effort to look great. (ie by working out in the gym 3 to 4 times a week, keeping up with the latest fashion in clothes, even Mani-pedis nowadays)...no substandard appearances are accepted. We must be perfect. But standards are less rigid for ladies. This is why you get your pick of the litter, and we get whatever will accept us.
