Why would my crush stop staring at me?

So I have a crush on a guy who usually checks me out on the daily basis. He knows that I know he checks me out because I've caught him before. There's moment he will looks, then when i catch him, he looks away normally. Very rarely he will turn away quickly. I had time i will see him and walk pass his direction and he will turn his head the other way and make believe he did not see me coming. I laugh when i saw that, and we never spoken and this is college. But he ususlly checks me out when I'm not looking and friends have confirmed it to me and I KNOW he does.

Ever since my crush's friend called me over and told me my crush was checking me out the whole day, my crush denying it shyly. My crush has stopped since then. Why?

May be he is a shy guy and doesn't want to reveal about this to other people. It would be better if you approach him and try to open a talk with him.

if he doesn't find a way to talk to him. It seems that he's a shy guy, so try to approach him yourself. Hint him to make a move. Because no one stares for no reason, he might think you are cute or pretty :)
