Why has my crush stopped staring/looking at me?

My crush and I are in the same grade, and last semester he would always look at me and check me out and he tried to me laugh on a couple of occasion and followed me to my class a few times. He even tried to talk to me.. but what did i do? I stared at the ceiling and acted like he wasn't here and the next day he would glance and look at me more.

now this semester he rarely ever looks at me and we never talk.. EVER! bc i think were both too shy now. and a few days ago we were both in the computer lab signing up for classes to take next year and me and my friend were talking and he turned around and looked at me and said "SHHH" but it was in a 'im just kidding' way because he made breif eye contact when he was doing that. i can't explain what look he gave to me it was just a certain look. and also the otherday i saw him filling up his water bottle and i had summed enough confidence to go and say hi to him and he looked at my way and once he came near he just acted like i wasn't there he's been doing this a lot lately even when i take the same route as him to meet up with my friends.

is he just not interested anymore because it too late to make a move?'
has he stopped liking me?
