Why do guys like picking small girls up (literally)?

I don't know what it is but as a small girl I get picked up by EVERYONE. Even friends of friends ask 'Can I pick you up for like two seconds?'. It makes me feel like a dog or I'm in my 20s and not a child.

Most girls don't even think about picking me up but most guys have at least asked to pick me up. They are not attracted to me in any way but still somehow enjoy picking something small up.

Is this like a manly thing? Or do guys just have a strange sense of humour?

I think it's as simple as "because they can". It could be for humor or they just wanna assert dominance as well.

Personally it doesn't bother me that much. Im not that short (5'4) and my boyfriend sometimes just picks me up for fun.

I'm the shortest in my family though... and my 6'3 brother thinks it's hilarious to pick me up and just throw me on the couch or something. So to him it's just amusing since our other brother is now 13 and 5'8 and heavier than me, so he can't pick on him as much.

My boyfriend loves to pick me up, all the guys I've dated liked to as well.
As a matter of fact by boyfriend bench pressed me the other day and was doing squats while he carried me. I think guys just like showing how strong they are

I usually pick the girls up, but i don't ask, i just do it without notice. It sounds weird to tell someone "hey, can i pick you up". WTF?
Being small (ish) makes you cute and reads "fragile, handle with care!". The fact that you are ok with being picked up like that, shows trust. Guys like it when girls trust them. It makes us feel good.

Lolz, I do that a lot since I'm a pretty big dude. If a small girl (or any girl for that matter) doesn't like it I don't do it, but if she's okay with if I'll do it. Some enjoy being able to see 10' off the ground (who needs roller coasters?) and others just like being carried and not having to walk places.

It's not about the height, at least not for me. I just like to pick girls up when we're having fun. My girlfriend is 5'9 and I like to carry her... especially when we're face to face so she can wrap her long legs around me... so hot!
