So this guy told me he would not sleep with a girl no matter how attractive she was because he's a virgin. Well I was looking at his Facebook profile, he was cruising around in a motorcycle, and wearing a leather jacket.

He said "I've also been known to strap on the leather when I'm getting down and freaky. Did I just reveal too much?"

So what do you think? This is not the HOT VIRGIN guy that I know...

Guys do lie. Not so much me :) but I've been hanging out with a lot of my guy friends lately, more so the ones who are trying new relationships out, and it's amazing about the things they lie about or better said, aren't upfront and honest about.

So, it's hard to say. Did he know you knew of his Facebook? Do you know of any girl he's dated or her friends who you could find out about his virginity? Or lack-there-of as you feel the case mat be. But also, virgins are allowed to make sexual-inuendos you know? Just because they've never put on a condom doesn't mean they don't know what a condom is, what it's purpose is for and what it looks like, right? He may just have needed a something to label his picture.

My advice? Do a little more asking around. Maybe not directly because they might tell him and it may be embarassing. I wouldn't neccessarily go by his word alone, as guys have done worst to try and get a girl. You should be able to tell by the way he acts around other girls. But also his guy friends too.

One way or the other he is lying. Many people will present themselves differently in different situations or with different people based on what they think will be most acceptable and most likely to get them what they want. He told you he is a virgin because he thought that would be most acceptable to you. On his Facebook profile he tried to present himself differently to impress or attract a different kind of crowd.

my best bet would be that he is indeed a virgin but is just talking himself up on fb because generally in society, he would be viewed as weird if he wasn't sexually active. its a stupid ideology and sad that people are made to feel like less of a person becuase of it but that's just the way it is.

There could be a reasonable explanation. Maybe he's gay (which explains the leather fetish) which would make him uninterested in hot girls. Or maybe "freaky" means kinky self-pleasuring.

Or he's just lying to impression someone. Either impressing you or the people reading Facebook.

In the male world, being a virgin is not a trait to be proud of. It means you are not good enough of a man to manage to lay a woman. So, if he told you he is a virgin, chances are he, not only, trusts you but also are telling the truth. Having said that, being a virgin, does not preclude a man or boy from being a normal person or maybe even cool. I get the feeling that your bit about "oh but he is riding a motorcycle and he wears leather" means you think he is cool. Too cool to be a virgin! Well, missy, this virgin may be a cool virgin.

Either that or he is a psychopath liar who think that admitting to be a virgin is a turn on for the ladies. I am not helping, am I?

It really depends on the circles you run in. Guys I ran with didn't brag about their sexual exploits, and the truth is most of us had none. People try to conform (at least in outward appearance and reputation) to the values of the crowd they run with. If you were in a churchy crowd who valued chastity you wouldn't brag about the sexual things you had done, and you might try to hide them.

As a virgin guy, I lie about being one. When buddies are talking about their weekend and sexual conquests, I have to twiddle my thumbs. I'm getting older and may not be in my sexual peak or fitness peak anymore so the experience may not be as much fun. All this for "love" ?

he prob. just said that on his Facebook b.c he doesn't want people to know he is a virgin. guys and some girls too, think it is embarassing to be a virgin after a certain age. if he told you he is a virgin, he most likely is... unless he told you he was a virgin only so that you would have sex with him.
