Why/How is he still a virgin?

So I have been meeting this guy who is 24. He is really hot, is tall 6'4, extremely handsome, plays football professionally, is a computer science major, and has a ton of friends. Nearly everyone likes him, is outgoing, and a ton of girls find him really attractive.

He told me that he doesn't wait for marriage. Is it possible that something is wrong with him? Is he gay or what's up?

Whoa dude, that is pretty weird that a guy like that is still a virgin at 24. A few possibilities:

- Religious/cultural reasons - Maybe he comes from a super conservative background and has just waited this long for "the right one."

- Performance anxiety - Could be nervous about not living up to expectations in bed since he's never done it before. That alone would scare off a lot of chicks.

- Low sex drive - Some guys just aren't that into it no matter what. But seems unlikely with him being so athletic.

- Not interested in casual sex - Wants to save it for a real connection with someone special rather than random hookups.

- Secretly gay - I mean, it's possible. But seems like if he was, he'd have explored that by now too.

Hard to say for sure without knowing him well. I wouldn't necessarily assume something's "wrong" with him. Maybe just hasn't met the right girl yet who he feels comfortable with. Or has some hangups to work through. Good on you for being understanding about it if you really like him otherwise!

He may just have some basic standards. Even having the most basic ones would mean few if any good candidates nowadays.

That's just testimony to how picky women are nowadays.

I also know a tall, handsome, well endowed, championship level athlete who struggles with dating.

20 years ago both examples wouldn't have had any issues finding a girlfriend.

It's still easy or normal for a guy to remain a virgin later than normal if he is not that social or if he just doesn't know how to talk or behave or act around women when interacting with them
