Why don't hot guys hit on girls as much as other guys?

I've noticed that average looking guys hit on girls a lot more often than the really good looking ones do. I would consider myself a "hot girl" and I usually get hit on by guys daily but most of them are average looking. Then there are the really good looking ones and they almost never hit on me like the other guys do. And I don't think its because I'm not hot enough for them because I've dated my fair share of hot guys but they didn't get me by trying to hit on me. We usually just met through friends or in school.

I'm just surprised because hot guys know that they have a way better chance of getting a girl than average guys do but they hardly ever hit on girls for some reason. Most girls will give a guy way more chances if he is hot no matter what he says when he approaches her... unless he's a psycho but even then they would probably have a better chance that average guys.

So do you think they are scared of rejection or what? (Assuming they are single I mean)

We dont feel like we need to act like little boys in order to be known by the ladies... see... a lot of less attractive guys know that they won't have a chance without being proactive... with us more attractive guys its common for us to be just "people meeting people" when it comes to women... NOT guys hooking up with girls... a problem that i face is.. if i try to approach women in a flirty fashion... because of my appearance they have trouble trusting my intent... and honestly i dont play games... a lot of women dont trust me.

Guys that are capable of breaking females hearts are not ugly... same with females that are capable of breaking mens hearts... if all i wanted was sex then its not a problem... but i dont... and women are a little suspicious of my intent because they think im able to manipulate them or use them.

Why would/should they? I know attractive guys, and *girls* do the approaching. No matter how cute a girl is, they have too many other equally beautiful women already available to them to worry about a random girl on the street.

Probably because the "hot guys" are told they're attractive a lot and always have girls just falling into their laps so they don't feel the need to hit on girls? Since the girls just come to them, or maybe there's some actual attractive guys who go for personality in girls and want to get to know them before trying to "make a move." :P

It's not that they are scared of rejection. It's that they know they have options. When food is plentiful, you don't have to go hunting as much. Girls make themselves available to "hot guys", so those guys don't really have to hit on girls the same way that "average" guys do...
