Why do boys always pick my "friends" over me?

So I am in this group of girls, who I have come to realise that they aren't really true friends. I can't talk to them about anything, and yet they always turn to me when they have a problem. Anyway, these girls are (sorry to be mean) all quite shallow, and plain and boring. They just follow each other around, and never do anything that they might get judged for. The girls are however, all really pretty. So boys always go for them, and I am always left alone. Now I know that I am not pretty at all, but I am not THAT ugly. These girls always make me feel disgusting because they are beautiful. Everyone tells me how funny I am, and nice, and fun. And Sometimes my friends that are boys have said to. me that the girls are boring or anoying yet they jump at the chance to be with them.. Why do they do this? Will I ever get a boyfriend? I hate to say it but you're going to have a tough time until about your mid 20s when guys start getting a little smarter. Girls too for that matter. It's going to be much more tough if you continue to hang around these girls so you may need to make a choice. If you want to get a guy, first of all, stop hanging around your friends so much. This goes for pretty, ugly, and everything in between. Guys are probably not going to approach you with your big group of friends around. Find some things you enjoy doing by yourself that make you more approachable. Walking the dog, going for a jog, fishing, bike riding, anything in the park, paint classes, ect... get creative with it. Make yourself more approachable and get good at flirting. Best advice I can give you.

Welp I'm not a guy so I can't answer the why but sadly i do know that beauty will almost always trump personality because appearance is always the first thing a guy (or girl) sees, so yea that kinf of sucks. Now will you ever find a boyfriend? Most likely I mean it way not be as soon as you hopevbut one thing you can try is stop looking and stop worrying about being in a relationship Lol because most of time when you're looking for someone you think you want you're blind to the ones that are way better for you ☺

Is beauty more important than, personality? Yes, it is. No matter how wonderful a guy is, if you throw up every time you see him, then he doesn't have a chance. Someone has to have looks before anything else matters at all. For someone just looking to get laid, looks are really the only thing they are going to care about.

If someone is wanting a relationship however, then their partner is going to have to have traits besides looks. Looks will still be important, but other traits can raise the persons the value of an average looking person, above that of a really good looking person.

Most people hope to find a really good looking person, and hope they will have a great personality. When you don't know the person that well, people will gravitate to the hottest people, in that hope. Which is why guys will always go for girls like your friends, and girls will go for players.
