Is there any truth in a drunken confession of love?

The age old question... does a drunk man speak a sober man's thoughts? Can I take anything to heart that my best friend told me when he was drunk? He wasn't obliterated, but he was more than buzzed.

In short, is there enough truth in his drunken confession of love for me to ask him about it, or was it just Mr. Daniels talking through his ass & I shouldn't pay it any mind?

There certainly could be truth to it, though it depends on what sort of drunk he is. Some people use drunkenness as an excuse to consciously say certain things just to get a reaction or to get attention. However, others will say things that they genuinely mean which they can't say just yet when sober due to having a lot of doubts of personal inhibitions.

My boyfriend said 'I love you' a month or 2 ago while we were having sex after a nice day spent together. Neither of us have said that to each other yet, I wasn't 100% sure he said it like a confession so I didn't reply or question it and pretended I didn't hear. I do think he meant it though, despite it being mid-sex, as he takes things like that quite seriously and isn't one to throw that word around just because.

i say all kinds of random shit when drunk, but when it comes to "confessing love" its no mistake and is deep rooted feelings. ye talk to him about it

it is definitely truth, even when I'm sooo wasted I can't even confess my love to the girl I like, if he did that he totally meant it.

He must remember saying it if he wasn't that drunk. Sounds like it was intended and one of you will bring it up sooner or later.
