Okay so we are good friends ( this is another guy I am good friends with ) and we were talking and he confessed to liking me. I don't do relationships but since we are great friends I agreed. He assured me that's it alright to do a relationship and I didn't need to be scared around him and what not. Fast forward to us calling at 8 pm and him being tired. I asked him if something is wrong and he said that he had drunk a little before. Now I realised that he had absolutely no memories of ever ever everrrr confessing. I told him and he didn't even believe it and then he just said we are better off as friends and he doesn't date. He kept apologizing but I am still hurt- am I being petty rn?
Ps on the confession call, yea like the drunk call, he said a lot of things-
1. He said he has been deliberately ignoring me since the last few days since he needed time to think about his feelings and lemme tell ya all, he was sick. That's why I didn't comment on him not talking to me and ignoring me>
2. He kept giving me compliments and what not

Yup. Sounds like a typical drink think to do lowered inhibitions and rambling drunk talk. He may be complementing you because he likes you and may be doing it because he’s embarrassed that he behaved that way. Either way just be honest with each other.
