Why do guys stop texting in the middle of a conversation?

The conversation could be going great than he just stops texting... is he playing games?

He's got other things to do. Texting is hassle for most guys , we do it because we have to. We are usually doing others things too. So will pick up the phone text then continue what we're doing then text again when we can most guys aren't glued to the phone it may be on the table or bed on silent and while we're preparing dinner , typing an email  etc  don't realize that a text has been received or just simply had enough of txtn. Girls seem to talk /txt way more than guys in general meaning a conversation starts to turn into a chore. I won't text my GF till late or at least afternoon because once the txtn starts she won't stop all I want to do is relax for a bit but keep getting hassled by the never ending txts. Gets annoying. I might even say I'm going to bed just so I can stop txtn many of my friends do the same thing!

Well the thing is, he could have just gotten busy. I often stop texting in the middle of a conversation because I misplaced my phone or got distracted doing something else. By "games" do you mean playing with you or the less vindictive games known as video games? I doubt he's playing with you, as BertMacklinFBI put it, give him the benefit of a doubt. If you meant video games, well he might be, that is often a cause for distraction from others. But it shouldn't be too big of a deal if he is.

The main thing is to be open with him, ask him why he stops texting you mid conversation. From there you can gauge your next step.

could be playing video games, working, eating dinner, taking a shower, something came up, hanging out with his friends. there's tons of reasons why someone wouldn't answer a text. boys are dumb sometimes, and they just forget to pick up their phone and respond haha.

Depends on the situation one could be he is busy. Or maybe the convo just ain't that interesting
