What does it mean if your ex says hi to you?

I ran into my ex boyfriend the other day. At first, I pretended not to see him and he seemed to get upset about that. Then as I was walking past him, he said hi to me. I just said hi back to him and continued walking.
Could it mean that he still has feelings for me?
