Why do guys like ugly girls just because they're "popular"?

Ok I know a lot of people are probably gonna stay stuff like because they have a good personality or because "they aren't shallow like you" lol. But I'm gonna be totally honest yes I am jealous of them. Not because they're popular, because I don't care about popularity. But just wondering why all the hot guys in my school only like popular girls? I don't know if I'm considered popular, I've been told I am but I'm not a part of their crowd. They actually tried to be friends with me in the past but I brushed them off because I like my friends better, and I think they're mean. But can someone please tell me why all the guys like them? All I can think of is they dress slutty. A couple of them have acne and they cover it up with caked on concealer, they walk around school with their nose in the air looking like such snobs, they flirt with every guy and most of them aren't even that pretty. my friends however only wear a tiny bit of makeup, and they are all gorgeous! They are so pretty and guys like us, but not nearly as much as those girls it seems like.

Because guys are idiots more often than not... I don't get it either, I look at a lot of people guys like and I just think 'really?'. I get we have different tastes from human to human, but there are things I can at least understand where they're coming from... this isn't one of them.

Though why should we take your word that they are ugly? Could be sour grapes. Whether they are or they aren't, I still primarily stick with my first statement.
