Guys do you re read old message conversation?

I've been talking to a guy via text, we have spent time together, I'm always texting him first but he always replies and keeps the conversation going. He says nice things and compliments my personality. But I have noticed, twice he has gone back and read through our message conversations. Why would a guy do this?

I do that all the time (keep the message conversation ).

I consider it social data... to use via research for future social interactions.

If u said in an earlier conversation that you used to live in South America and grew to love rum as your spirit of choice and grew to dislike wine...

I don't see what the problem is with archiving previous conversations. As I gave an example for above, it can benefit you!

Hell yes, for me it's either to gain some kind of clarity or analyze what the other person is thinking.

I think it't not a healthy behavior. I never do that and I don't see the point of it. it's like trying to hold on to sth that doesn't exist any more. the better thing to do is make more memories with new people

Oh well I can't lie I do all the time, just sometimes to get a giggle in or remember good times. I try not to read anything negative though or like some people I wouldn't go through old messages from my ex's

most guys do this because they want to relive the fun conversations they have with a girl, especially if he likes the girl. or maybe his just bored out of his mind and have nothing else to do :P.

Yup, re-read old conversations to refresh your memory - make sure you've not been missing things.

I try to avoid re-reading old messages from anybody. I don't want to be overly reliant on chat history - I'd like to try to remember more things.
