Guy friend brags about me to his friends?

My guy friend remembers all sorts of stuff about me and brags about me to his friends/tells stories about me, especially his guy friends. Thoughts? I'm talking random stuff - stuff that ends up showing how close we are and him saying really nice things about me thank God.

If he's bragging, then (right now) he likes you. Guys share funny stories about friends or things they said. But if it's everything, then that's probably him talking to his friends about the girl he likes

Does it matter do you think if I'm actually there and see him do this rather than hear about it from others? I was with him and his friend and his friend was like "oh are you at (university)" and I said yeah and the guy started telling his friend all about me and was acting all proud and stuff - it was really sweet thank God.
Also, the guy brought his best friend to hang out with me and a couple friends and I felt like I was being looked-over in a way. The friend kept unnecessarily including me in conversation.

I was walking toward them and had my headphones in but (I thought obviously and clearly) paused my music - and I think his friend said something that ended with "... hot" as he was looking at me but I could be totally wrong. Then I reached them and the guy started talking to me.
I should note he often gets jealous of guys other than his friends - like subtly so.

And I mean he was like giving *details* about my life and stuff he does with me like admitting to taking funny selfies (me and him and a ginormous coffee - he said "white chick magnet" as a caption) and telling his friend all about my... I don't even know, my writing ability ("she's ok at math - no offense - but she's a *phenomenal* writer" his words not mine) and my high school stuff "didn't you get a 4.0" and blah blah and I joked that I narrate when I drive and he was like "yeah she does - she like rages, it's so funny, can you imagine this person getting mad at the other drivers..." Etc. I just sat and laughed and joked with both of them.

I mean if it helps we've been good friends for like 2 years, I think he was just really bouncy today and so was talking a lot, it didn't seem creepy to me, just enthusiastic.

Haha maybe - he says he doesn't pay attention half the time and yet he remembers the most random details about me. He remembered my favorite movies from a list on Facebook that I wasn't even aware he'd seen. I couldn't even remember it and I wrote it!
