WHAT Do you Guys MEAN with this texting nonsense?

I like this guy and we've been texting pretty regularly for about a month. Nothing crazy romantic, just ongoing convos about work and things we want to do with our lives. He hasn't asked me out or anything. My question is, Do guys text someone on an almost everyday basis for three hours straight if they're not interested romantically?

I guess I should have mentioned that we work together haha. We see one another on a constant basis and continue our chats from that point. It's like nonstop talk, whether via text or in person.

I used to text/whatsapp a girl I worked with who was from Portugal for hours through the night almost everyday for near 3 weeks, when she went back for a holiday. Most of the time was spent chatting about what she was doing... and her troubles there. Virtually keeping her company. Even though she was with her BF there.

Wen she returned, I realsed i fell atttracted to her. Those msging brought me closer to her. But she was still with her BF... so the text spams stopped after.

So texts between freinds for hours at a timre every day for months isnt.. always innocent. If single.. there could be motive... Be careful

Yes, because it's text. If I was interested romantically I would maybe actually talk to them, use some form of intimate personal contact.

Texting doesn't mean much--human contact is what matters, one-on-one in the same physical place. Yeah, girls today get hung up on texts--guys don't (people just don't get real communication anymore). Frankly, texting is pretty stupid. I only use it to confirm a date, and ignore all conversational text, since it's a waste of time (and gets girls confused, which seems to be the case here).

You're building false expectations by solely texting a person... that's not the way you get to know them, once you physically hang out you'll truly know what is what.
