Guys, Why are guys weird with texting?

Iv been seeing a guy for close to 4 months always attentive with texts as much so now as it was in the beginning but as soon as he's out with other people i dont hear from him not even drunk texts….. things between us are generally great but if im drunk the person i like is still always on my mind and i always reply and respond.

Do guys just prefer not to be bothered when out or busy it always makes me doubt things and my mind goes into over drive

I’m weird with texting because I don’t like texting, my jobs are dirty af so I’m away from my phone, and I just don’t have a sense of instant urgency for text messages. Like, I don’t like just sitting there and texting someone, I’d rather arrange a hangout and talk in person if I’m talking to someone that much

he's a wedding today…. we aren't official and he didn't get a plus 1 so my last snap was 5 hours to him i didn't expect much communication from him today but he's been able to put a pic on his story and still leave my message unopened it just makes me feel a bit shit but i know what you mean he's not in a position to talk to me all day but a check in would be nice

I’d rather wait to read something when I’m done with my bullshit so I can be more focused on what they say and how I respond. Like sometimes I’ll be busy and I’ll quick read a text but have to do other shit. So that just looks like being left on read. I just think text receipts create unnecessary anxieties. Back in the day you would send a letter or leave a message and wait. I think the instantaneous nature of the internet has warped peoples perceptions of time and made them too impatient

During a wedding where people post pictures n shit to update their weird online shit, no. Like, holding down a record button and dancing the phone in a panoramic shot is not the same as sitting down and directly messaging someone

I’m just worried that I won’t be able to communicate that to someone I’m with. I’m a very anxious person, so I feed negativity on perceived jealousy or insecurity, like I start worrying at every text “is that too long, oh I should text them right away so they don’t think X” it becomes very emotionally exhausting for me to keep that up if that makes sense
