Why is he only shy Around me?

Soo there this guy I've never talked to and he's always staring at me super hard. And he makes it no secret lol. I don't know what he's saying but it's pretty obvious tht him and friends are talking about me. But whenever I get close to he gets super quiet.. Like he'll be in the middle of a convo and then he'll stop talking and stare when I walk by. I have a feeling that he likes me but this guy is the BIGGEST player in school. He can literally talk to and get any girl he wants so why is he only shy around me?

That could be a number of reason why he's shy around you. Because you didn't give me enough information about yourself or why he's the biggest player in school or any information about the kind of contact with this guy if ever.

Were you two ever cool with each other at all? Like you guys were always talking and joking then one day it just stopped and he stares at you super hard.

Are you considered attractive at all visually or emotionally (as in you're good at giving joy to people around you).

If his emotional value matches your current personality then yes he's shy because he likes you and blanks out or doesn't want to say anything that can offend you.

maybe you are the only girl who has stimulated certain emotions within him that he's never felt or experienced before with other girls. maybe you are the one girl who is different to him, the girl who could change his ways. maybe he likes you for real. this may sound a bit overly dramatic, but you never know
