Why is he so shy with me?

So we have a mutual crush i guess, when he is around he steals looks, stare from far and becomes extremely shy when i approach him. In his previous relationship he would hold hands of the girl and let everyone know that he liked his ex ( she left him). if he was so open , why is he so shy and silent with me? She really damaged him, and he probably doesn't want to mess up things with you so he's keeping his distance. You've REALLY gotta put in the effort to let him know you like things and things are ok.

He spent 2 years of his life going back to her and yes when I found him he was concealing his hurt and seemed lost. It's been 1 year already. I got him into therapy for 7 months now he is ok but very shy. I truly want to help him and make our relationship progress. sometimes i do lose my temper but i try to control myself and be positive.

Temper is a big turnoff. Take it from someone who has only dated women with anger issues. Might want to get serious management and therapy for that. That could definitely make him scared if your anger gets the best of you often.

Some guys are shy & it's totally fine, Don't worry he likes you he just need some time
