Why don't guys talk to me (or even notice me)?

I know that I'm not a super model or anything, but I don't think I'm ugly. I'm kind of a shy person, so I don't talk a lot. I'm also really short (5'0).
I always notice that when I'm around my friends, they have boys come up and talk to them, but this doesn't happen to me. The only boys that really notice me are the really weird ones. I just feel like guys don't like me. I'm almost 16, and all of my friends have boyfriends, and have kissed guys. I've never even held hands with a guy. Why do you think it is that guys don't talk to me?

I am sure boys love you. You are extremely beautiful. The problem is men can feel intimidated by good looking women and that is the problem. We start to over analyse things.

Here are some things that goes though a man's mind when they see a very pretty woman.

1. She is real pretty but there is no way she is single so I won't bother, it will save both her and myself the embarrassment.

How can you fix this?
Flirt with the guy.

2. She is so beautiful but I bet she has a bad attitude. The problem is us guys experience a lot of very beautiful girls with an extremely poor attitude. I am not saying you are like this though. We then tend not to not approach when we see a very pretty woman.

How can you fix this?
If you are a fun, easy going, down to earth person with a sense of humour you need to show this to the guy you like. If you behave in this way he will start to like you a lot. Us guys are sick of women with bad attitudes so show him you have a good one. Also make sure he sees you treating other people around you in a real good way to.

3. There is no way she is interested in me because I am out of her league.

How can fix this?
By smiling, flirting and being nice and kind to him. You can even be the one to make the first move. There is nothing wrong with a girl making the first move.

4. When he is around keep you ear phones out of your ears because a guy will not talk to a girl that has them in because he feels he is hassling her so he thinks I won't bother.

5. Limit the number of female friends you are around if you want him to approach. The way it works in a guys mind is the more of your female friends that are around the less likely he will be to make an approach. A guy is most likely to approach a woman that is by herself.

6. Be aware of your facial expressions. It is easy to scowl and frown without knowing you are doing it so make sure you are not doing this or the guy will think you have an attitude problem and stay away.

Ok I can honestly say that If your encountering situations where boys are there and especially if your friends in the same room are getting hit on and your not... there's clearly a reason

NO guy ever just ignores a women he wants to talk to, your friends are proof of that

so what do you think it is? Personality, are you more sweet reserved and quiet? Or do you make enough noise for everyone to notice you there?

A. I think you're cute as... I don't know. Something really cute. It's not that.
B. "Shy" can encompass a lotttt of different behaviors and I can only guess what sort of vibe you're putting out there? Why not ask your friends, who know you in person and best, what they think about you is giving off an anti-boy vibe? It may be as simple as needing to smile, laugh and make more eye contact... even a shy girl can handle that, right?
C. Some people are just late bloomers. Please don't try to become a different person or be some sort of superslut because you want to attract more boys. Maybe just be a louder version of yourself and you should be about right.

Personally, I think it's your shyness. Guys, especially at that age, don't know how to deal with shy girls. You also have an innocent look about you and that's definitely not a bad thing. As a former shy girl, my advice is just relax and be yourself. Also, make the effort to talk to guys. It will give you so much confidence. Good luck!

Since your shy they may think you don't want to talk to them, or something like that I guess. You should just try to spark a conversation with at least one guy and see what that leads you both too. A guy you could try talking to is a guy that sits next or infront of you.

First thing, you are so pretty! I've had this problem too, but I'm tall and can draw attention to myself. So don't worry there is someone for you. It could help if there are guys around or if there is a guy you like reach out and ask him about the sport he plays or his hobby. I'd listen to guys first before me because they might understand this a lot better.

Don't think you can't be the one who aproches them, that may be all you need to do, I am friends with all the girls (and a few of them are telling me what to write right now), so I've seen this before, one of my friend had not been able to do this and I talked to her and tried to get her out of her shell, and she now has a boyfriend, just try to talk to them, they won't bite (they may bite)

as much as it suck to say you might have to wait it out. especially in teenage years. or talk to some boys yourself? sometimes its your turn to move, just dont be all in there face then your gonna deal with some drama and blah blah blah... its struggle but good luck!!!

So in other words, guys DO notice you and talk to you, they just aren't the right guys.

"Why don't the guys I like, talk to me (or even notice me)?" is perhaps the real question you should be asking. Because if you can't even ask the right question, the right answer will be of no use to you.

1) You have a very uninteresting personality.
2) People assume you're a whore.
3) They think you're too pretty for them.
4) They assume you can't give good head because you look like a baby.
5) You just look too damn innocent.
6) They assume you already have a boyfriend since you're so cute.
7) They think you're hideous.
8) Something else about you turns them off. (body, voice, smell etc.)

You're really pretty, so I mean sure plenty of guys notice you. Maybe you have your walls up? Maybe you give off this vibe you don't wanna talk to anyone

Ok so what should I tell her? You're ugly, you look like shit, you're fat, your personality sucks... Obviously if there is something that she's doing that's off putting she should figure out what that is and correct it. There's a reason why I told her not to look for it bec it makes her look self conscious. She should just be herself, be confident in the way she looks cuz there's nothing wrong with it she's super cute and it'll come.
