What does it mean when guy asks "are you tired " which I responded "do I look tired " and he said " no no you're pretty" ?

He asked a legit question, probably out of concern for your wellbeing.
You replied in an arguably rude and hostile way, ehich made him reply in a fashion intended to drop the question and defuse the situation.

In short, he cared about your wellbeing and you put him off with your reply.

the reason I replied that way is that was the first time I talked to him , his friend was asking me out and he was with him like a wingman :D

But then again, you were out with his friend, not him, so it wasn't exactly a bad idea to put him down. Just be a little more gentle next time. Giving the wingman a bad impression of you isn't exactly going to help XD

I didn't mention in my question, but this guy was with his friend who was trying to ask me out. why would he call me pretty infront of his friend who was trying to ask my number.
