Why do guys say they want to meet you (on pof) but not message you?

so i've been getting into the plenty of fish app lately, and guys will say they want to meet me. sometimes it's a mutual match but sometimes it's not. i get that maybe you don't want to be rejected but why say you want to meet someone but then not pursue it? i've heard that people say they swipe right/say they want to meet everyone to increase their chances, which is why i don't always respond but that can't be true for every single guy, right? is it just the fear of rejection?

Hum... if a guy is not meeting a girl then he is nor interested... I hope I am following your question correctly... if your looking to meet a guy, but he does not respond to the mutual match, or says he does, but never returns your email then its just, he's not interested... POF is hit or miss, and your not the only one dealing with that issue. Good luck and hope this helps
