Why do guys not message first?

All my guy friends could go days without talking to anyone, just they nearly ever message first.

Hate to be the one to break it to you, but the reason guys aren't burning up the telephone or texts is bc most see it as a means of communication only. Their lives don't revolve around talk. In fact, most guys I know are put off by those who talk too much

Honestly, my friends and I have such a strong bond that I can go a year without sending them a message. We can all fall back into step like we'd never missed a day.

As a general rule, texting is a shit way to communicate. I basically hate texting because it's imprecise and checking my phone all the time is annoying.

When on vacation so I don't HAVE to interact with others I have went a couple weeks without talking to anyone and I am fine with that.
