Why do guys text you first then not respond back?

Format:

(First time)

He said- "Blah blah blah"

I sent him- "blah blah blah"

then the conversation ended.

(This is a blank example for you)

He said-

Then the conversation ended.

i said- hey what are you doin?

no response (that was a couple days ago)

he said- hey how are you feeling?

i said- hey I'm fine just tired still how about you?

no response (this was today)

i just don't see the point in him texting me if he doesn't respond back after?

That's really strange- though what I've noticed a lot is that you're trying to take the lead (from a psychological perspective). Try something like the following:

He said- hey what's up?

You then say- I'm wrapping up some chores around the house and then I'm looking to do something, are you free?

If he doesn't respond on this third attempt- he's one of those undependable guys that wonders why he will never have a meaningful relationship (No offence intended, it's just face-value).

So your saying this is no certain game that guys do? cause I know that some of my friends have gone through the same thing

Exactly - that's not a game of any sort. Think about this- what would he be accomplishing? "Pissing you off" is the answer. Which isn't anything related to mind games.

A mind game is something where he wants you to feel a desire to get in touch with him.

Examples:

- You dump him, so he shows your best friend a good time (non sexually) and makes her laugh alot. Thus making you jealous and competitive for him. (He never actually dates / f***s her)

- He calls you a lot and then stops suddenly

I was thinking it could be a game more along the lines of him making me irritated that he doesn't text back so ill be more tempted to text him more and give him attention, or that he's just checking up on me to see what I'm up to so he doesn't have to worry about what I'm doing, or to just keep me interested cause if he keeps contact with me it will keep me interested so I don't move on?

Most likley "...or to just keep me interested" - without any additional reasoning.

He is texting you to let you know he hasn't forgot about you, though it's strange that he doesn't follow up with more than what he has already said- ya know?

Yeah, I mean we were talking a while and it seemed like he got really attached then he backed off randomly and said he wanted to be friends cause he didn't want a relationship and now we're at where we are now. any tips on how to keep him interested in me at least or get him back? the fact that he's actually texting me first should be a good sign in general right?

Of course- I'm wondering if he has something going on behind scenes, you may wanna look into that.

Other than that- just be fun.

- Be flirtatious

- Be funny

- Be flexible (Schedule wise)

If he texts you at 6am and goes "i need to talk" be like - okay here I come, we'll go hang out. You want to give him what he wants but by your standards.

Same exact thing happens to me:

"Hey lady, how's it goin?"

"good dude, just chillin listenin to music. how are you?"

and then he disappears. it happens more after we've hungout recently... like that week. when we haven't seen each other in a long time, he texts me a lot more. and actually responds back.

its happend with other guys too. I just don't get it.

I would assume that it's because they are looking for a companion for a short period instead of an actual relationship. I'm not sure why, but there are many plausible reasons:

- He wants to "get laid"

- He has an event to invite you to

etc

This is mainly associated with what's called a "numbers game" if any game at all. The numbers game = he calls 10 women and when 1 replies and meets him that night, he will hang out with her and drop the other 9 by not replying.

Weird guy usually If I don't feel like talking in the middle of a convo I say brb. I'm not really going anywhere but niether is this conversation and that's a p*sser offer. But yea maybe he doesn't like you

Well we were recently talking and he broke things off so it didn't lead to a relationship because he doesn't want one. he told me he likes me and he acts like he likes me so I don't know? he also said I was the only girl so thers no one else I don't know what the problem is
