Guys, why do you ask a girl if she has plans then not respond?

Recently a guy I've been talking to and hanging out with texted me asking what I was up to. After I replied, he asked if I had plans that night and I told him not really, then he never replied.

He hasn't texted me as much lately or like he used to and he always texts me first, then after a couple texts back and forth, he stops, even when I ask a question.

He told me before he likes me and told me he wants to see me more and he knows he hasn't texted as much. (He does work a lot).

Why do guys text a girl first and then not respond, especially after asking if she has plans?

Obviously this guy needs to grow up and stop reading Pick Up Artist material because that's what it sounds like to me. I don't mean to taint his affection for you but he needs to stop playing these games where he's giving you a little then sitting back and watching you being tormented with mystery. I'll be honest and tell you, I used to do this crap in high school to girls and granted it works to get girls, in the long run it backfires really bad.

To his credit though, his work could be tiring him and he just may not feel like texting (normal for guys and girls). If I were you, just call him out on it PLAYFULLY instead of playing his game. It's sad sometimes to see what dating has evolved into playing mind games with other.

Guys, like little 2 year old toddlers, like to test the turf and see how much you bend towards their demands. So the next time this guy tries to get ahold of you... you are simply too busy. Never be too available. Its nothing against you. So do not whine that he hasn't texted you or called you and act nonchallant like he is any other friend.

Haha OK thanks. I have never confronted him or asked why he doesn't text anymore. The only thing I said once was when he told me "Hey, we need to see each other more over the summer" acting like it was me that didn't want to see him as much so I said "Don't forget about me!" and he told me he knows he doesn't text as much as he used to. Previously, he asked me to hang out but I was too busy. But, I guess, I'll play it cool and act like nothing's wrong.

Good... that's the way to go. Be very patient, don't be demanding and make him see that he is number 3 after your family and your hobbies. He'll be tagging like a poodle in no time.

Would it still be OK if I texted him asking him to hang out and act like nothing ever happened and not say anything about him not texting back? Or would that be too quick to text? I was thinking of waiting a few days then ask if he wanted to hang out but it might be too soon. I'm very laid back so I wouldn't confront him about it anyways.

Dont text him. Let him wonder why you are not texting and not the other way around. I know its tough. I would recommend though to randomly bump into him somewhere but do not call text or communicate with him until he has done so himself.

Ok ha ha this will be tough. I guess I'm worried he'll forget about me or think I don't care. And I know if he does forget about me, then it's his loss and I move on but that's so hard, especially with the way he treated me before, he was very sweet and respectful and seemed to really like me (people said he was head over heels in love with me) so I fell fast and hard haha. I won't text him but his roommate works with me so maybe he'll say something about me to him (I just started back up).

If he really is into you as you say he won't forget and he will call or text. Otherwise don't close yourself off from other options. Sometimes guys that you need to work on are better than those who immediately seem to like you.
