Was he hinting that he wants to hang out? Am I imagining it? guys and girls help?

If a guy you know says my shift finishes in 5 min, does it mean he might be hinting that he wants to hang out?
He is always talkative and always greets me with a smile, always tries to talk to me not just small chit chat but more detailed with very interesting conversations that we both enjoy, calls me over, I feel like he watches me and some of the people he works with always smile at me.
Sometimes even doesn't let me pay for my drinks.

Is he interested or am i imagining that he might have a thing for me?

Well of course you likes as a friend of course but personally I do think he does like you more than a friend "or at least has interest" as deep and interesting convos are very good sign of someone having interest starters/sparks.
But don't go suddenly to him and be all lovely dovey and stuff, so I suggest try asking him on a hang out as he can see you outside of work plus you can see how he reacts with you.
Especially if he has good eye contact, smiles and maybe tries to touch you "not in a creepy way"

He has good eye contact and always with a really big smile! We were talking about our other male friend and I said shhhh don't tell him i said that, and he quickly said we don't talk about you like very defensive and then relaxed and changed the subject.

Hmm in general I guess guys have thing against talking about people usually behide their back but I totally get what you mean as girls do it all the time, but at least he relaxed and changed the subject instead of being a butt and being constantly defensive.

I think he is interested. If you want to find out ask him to go have a drink with you and pick up on his body language while you are talking, walking, sitting or whatever, just watch him.

Like if he keeps eye contact, touches you, always stay close to you, if he is a bit nervous, also observe whether he asks a lot of questions and is actually listening to what you are saying.

In my opinion he is interested in you, based on what you specified, the question is, are you interested in him , and if so, sit down talk about it. I believe in being straight foward so that there aren't any surprises. if you are not interested in the guy, do the same, have a straight forward talk, so that he won't be gettin his hopes up day by day only to be hurt in the end.

My friend was with me about a week ago and she said he was flirting with me (Im not very good at picking up on signals) and she said he looks at you differently. Is that possible to know if a guy looks at a girl differently?
