Why would a guy look at you with soft eyes?

I looked really flustered, and he was looking at me softly.

I highly, highly doubt the person in question has any feelings or affection towards me whatsoever. And the feeling is mutual.

He's nice to talk to, but he's a horrible person.

But I wonder if he at least thinks of me as a friend that he can generate emotions like that.

No need to look into it. If he actually meant something by it, he'd also change his attitude/personality around you and be extremely friendly.

I know that you may think it's me saying, "Hey I don't like him," to prevent myself from realizing I like him or something like that, but that's not what it is.

I was going through something in my life, and spending time with him just made me feel better. Mostly because I needed a change in people/atmosphere.

So it does bother me a little that he may not feel any attachment, or sense of friendship towards me.

I sincerely doubt any guy is that bad that he wouldn't consider you a friend after consoling you through a bad time. So he might act like a dick but I think he cares for you or else why would he waste his time with you to begin with.

No he didn't mean to. He was my tutor, so he was getting paid. But it was more about getting my mind focused on something else, and also having a change in atmosphere. I don't even think he realized I was going through something.

He ripped me off, he was trying to prepare me for interviews.

I knew he was, but he worked in industries that I had no experience in, so I figured I needed his advice on things, which he also knew.

Not true lol I like guys who are friends of mine, in fact, I don't have a lot of female friends come to think of it.

I was obsessed for getting a job in a particular kind of industry, and he worked in it, I guess he knew that.

Plus, it wasn't my money lol, at the time it was my parents :P. Doesn't make it right, but still.

I liked meeting him, and going over things with him, it gave me some purpose of life. Now I wonder if he picked up on the fact that I get attached to people easily, and used that to rip me off.

I thought we were friends, clearly we weren't.

Leaving him aside for a second, something that I realized, is tutoring, (the real kind, not his fake kind), can be effective in finding a purpose for someone.

I tried it in University, and of course it may have an impact on your grades, but it's also like having a personal reason to do well, and have someone to guide you.

I think I felt better not because of him, but mostly because it gave me a reason to have some goals/ambitions towards actually GETTING a job.

Does that make sense?

You know what the worst part was? I was randomly sitting there one time, and the guy I liked happened to be in the same location, so he saw me from afar, and came up to say hi, while I was sitting there with this guy, and I was like... what the hell. It's bad enough that I have this weird arrangement without someone actually knowing about it.

So I stubbornly kept talking with my eyes on my book in front of me, and my crush just walked away with his head down, wondering why I didn't want to speak with him.

And I look at the tutor guy and he's enjoying this drama unfolding in front of him; it's like entertainment.

Then I was like... wait a minute. Do these two know each other, fuck, (they went to the same Uni).

Okay you know what happened, I think my crush got jealous, because I was sitting there laughing with my tutor so much, so he randomly came up beside me, and yes I was blushing, and thinking don't talk to me, don't talk to me, don't talk to me. So he just went away with his head down.

And I continued laughing like nothing had happened, so I bet my crush felt worse, because he probably thought I was having too much fun with the other guy, to talk to him.
