What it means if a guy's eyes soften when he looks at you?

I don't know when he looks at others his eyes are normal. But at me, his would have puppy eyes and they sparkle and they look so gentle and soft. Sometimes he stares at my eyes intensly when talking and other he would stare everywhere exept in my eyes. What does this look mean?
