Guy's Behavior

I asked him out for drinks and he said yes?

My guy friend and I like each other I suggested we get drinks and he sounded really excited, we didn't set a time/day for it, I messaged him today to see if he wanted to meet up at the end of the week and he said, maybe, and that's he's trying to get down to this spot he likes to go hang out with his friends... we have hung out alone a couple of other times... I feel like I'm being selfish for wanting him to want to choose me, instead of the hobby he does every weekend, I would never ask him to give it up or cancel completely, just drive there on a different day.
He could have already have plans up in the air and I'm being impatient wanting things to happen between us. I'm being selfish right?
