Long story short, my crush knows I have a dog. He even offered to pick him up from the groomers if I ever have an inconvenience. Since we are only cordial and exchange pleasantries whenever we see each other, I felt it’s too much responsibility and inconvenience for him. Today when we briefly saw each other he asked when will he meet my dog in person?

It seems like a favor but if you have a crush be direct and tell him and see if he will go on a date. Is it scary and awkward? Absolutely! But it’s worth it last thing you want to do is wait too long and he finds someone else if someone else doesn’t find him.

Rejection is scary but if it happens you have closure as well as won’t waste your time. You won’t be wasting your time on someone whose never going to ask you out anyways. You’re not going to make things awkward being indirectly flirty. As well as you won’t wonder what could have, should have, or would have been.

Ask him to meet at a dog park or a dog friendly Cafe. He is into you for sure lol. You aren't giving him anything to go off of so he is fishing.
