It sounds to me like he's been "thinking about you" in a romantic/sexual context. He may even want to get back together. I wouldn't go for it, though. As someone who came back when my ex wanted me, I think it's usually a mistake; If he's willing to resurrect his feelings for you and--possibly in the future, your relationship--simply because of this news about you being his first, you should ask yourself, "How strong, then, can his feelings be if they can be resurrected by something so purely physical, so detached from emotional appeal, as my virginity?"
I'm not surprised if it made him desire you more; news like that can do that to many men. But even if he really, REALLY wants you, passion based so strongly in the flesh rather than in intellectual connection is, in my opinion, not going to last. It usually just leads to heartbreak because, in my limited experience, relationships will end without a stronger, longer-term foundation than cuddling, making out, sex, etc. ESPECIALLY if they've ended once before.
