I mean whenever he's teaching me something he never looks away even if I'm focused on my computer and I look back and he's still looking.

Plus, he's kind of sweet...or he'll lean in when I'm talking.

Do we have a problem here?

Okay I think I sort of like him, not in a 'oh my goodness I'm crushing,' but as in fond of him way... but I play dumb when I notice him staring because I really need to ace the course!

You're reading into this too much. That's not nearly enough to go off of to say that he likes you. Him watching you doing your work is just him making sure that you understand what he's telling you. A crush would try to be much less obvious about paying attention to you but you would still be able to tell he was doing it. If he's actually holding your gaze and not backing off then to be honest he's probably just doing his job. You might be misconstruing him making sure you're doing your work for him staring at you.

He might like you, but there's a solid chance it's just wishful thinking on your part.
People always think their tutors are into them. Tons of one on one time with a nice, helping person, it's not hard to see why so many people make that mistake.

Okay see I used to get tutored by this other guy but I wasn't serious at the time about doing well.

I was bored out of my mind, and he'd take me to the big city to 'tutor,' I just liked going to the city lol I was least interested in the course.

Did he likely assume I just liked him so much that I was paying money for nothing?

Once when I was sitting beside him he insisted I sit at the other end and was smirking, I was confused bu I was like okay.

He is monitoring if you are completing the task or if you need assistance. It's his job to supervise students. Don't interpret his behaviour as some fantasy that includes him having feelings for you, he does not, nor is it appropriate to ever act on any such feelings.

A Tutor is usually presumed to be an adult with qualifications in the area they are tutoring people for. I understand that one student can "tutor" another, but why not refer to the guy as a peer?

I AM a tutor. I've had this happen to me more than once where, being attentive and helpful, was mistaken for romantic interest.

No... Usually the closeness I have with any student is generally to get them to relax and focus better so we have small talk and get to know one another and build a very light relationship but the younger girls see that as flirtation and well... Haha! ^_^

Oh shit I just remembered something NOT this guy, but another one of my tutors, when I was about to sit beside him, he got a bit of a smirk, and was like why are you sitting beside me, and I was like oh I thought you wanted me to see the screen, (it had answers), and he was like no no sit on the other end so you can't see the answers.

I was confused on whether he didn't want me to see the answers or whether he thought I'd pull the classic, 'leaning into him for a question,' to get him to like me or something.

I *never* liked teh guy, but he was the arrogant type so I wouldn't be surprised if eh thought I did

Well it happens often enough particularly because usually tutoring sessions are one to two hours long at a time and rather regular so while the other guy may have been a bit cocky having people "really" enjoy tutoring with you, esp. if they are learning well and understanding, can lead to them being slightly more interested in you as a person.

I guess tutoring is basically being a part time boyfriend kind of. XD
