Is my tutor attracted to me?

On Wednesdays and Fridays tutors come into my class to help us in groups. This year my group's tutor is a twenty-two year old guy (and I'm seventeen). Everytime he tutors my group he stares at me when he thinks I'm not looking--not in a disgusted way but there's something else there. He also jokes with me and treats me like an equal. I really like him; I'm afraid that I'm just seeing what I want to see.

Do you think that he likes me? Could anything ever happen between us? And if so, is it okay?

Maybe he's being nice but if you like him too, talk to him and see what's up, there might be something. I think it's okay
